Believing enough doesn’t mean you just wake up one day and say ” Oh hey by the way, I believe in myself!”  It means that you begin with self love and you learn what it means to take the time to know you, to love YOU…. then you begin to BELIEVE enough, in YOU. It takes courage to do this… it takes becoming brave and bold to do this

I remember as a child I believed in so much… including myself. I believed I was going to be something great even as a child. I knew I would change lives, it was in my blood at an early age. I believed I could fly. I believed the world was beautiful, and colorful, I believed that all things were good, and bad didn’t exist. Then……. I grew up… I let the world taint my vision, my outlook. I let my upbringing hurt me, control me, and then self doubt creeped in.  I began to lead with anger, fear and hurt, instead of  love, light and truth. Isn’t it amazing how we can let the outside impact who we are, who we once dreamed of being, and what we always wanted for ourselves? At what point was it ok to give up? Or to push “SELF” aside? At what point did we decide that it was “ok” to just let someone else dictate who we are, who we should be and how we need to live? Do we really lose the meaning of ” believing”  until the day comes when we’ve walk passed a mirror only to realize that the reflection we so strangely stare at, is ourselves, and the question arises, “Who am I?”  Ahhhh…… that’s the moment…we seem to crumble isn’t it? The moment when you realize that you spent a majority of your time in a box!

It is time to rip that box apart…. it is time for you to become YOU and live a life that is authentic and in truth. It took me a long time to get there… but once I did…

I’ve discovered since becoming Karrie’s manager and business zookeeper that there are two things that inspire Karrie and motivate her to share her artwork, message, and energetic and crazy personality with the world: her children and her fans.  Since we make a life by what we give, I’ve figured out how we can give back to you, her fans, and in turn you will be helping us give to a great cause that impacts her family.

I feel very blessed that Karrie introduced me to her fans and her children.  You all inspire me also.  Each day I hear from fans whose lives were impacted by Karrie, her loose and free style of painting, and her Brave & BOLD personality.  Thank you.  Now I need to get ready to go from Business Zookeeper mode into Auntie LeeLee mode.  Since Karrie is busy filming some new online workshops, I’ve decided to sneak away from the studio and kidnap her kiddos for a couple hours to soak in their laughs and have a play date at the park or something.

Now with all of that good stuff happening.. you can imagine how swamped I am. We are even looking for volunteers in the areas we will be at to help build what we call the “Brave and Bold Street team” to help promote the events I will be at in the area. Those that help will get free products, or free entrance to workshops if I am hosting one in that area.

Karrie and I had a fantastic time last week in Louisiana on our first road trip together.  We laughed, worked, explored, laughed some more, brainstormed, oh and rolled down a massive hill (watch the video by clicking here).  Anyways, now that we are back at the studio, I think it’s time for Karrie to film a new online workshop to go with those already available in her online art school! What do you think the next workshop should be about?  Give Karrie some suggestions by commenting below!!  If you have taken the others, also let us know what you love about her online classes!

When I think of health, I do not just think of being physically fit.
To me the definition of healthy embodies every aspect of who we are. It’s about taking care of our bodies, mind, soul, and spirit.
How do you do that? How do I do that? Well, first of all, it’s an everyday thing, and one that I work on constantly. I am not always 100%successful,but I try my best.
Before anything, I weed out the negative people in my life…they are like poison to my body. Then I simply do things that I love to do, things that feed my spirit- I love to run, box, jumprope, I love music just as equally as I love my art, so I make sure that I get a daily dose of each… best way to wake up? MUSIC! I find things that inspire me, things that inspire me to want to create, teach, dance, play, and love. I make sure I laugh….and boy do I… almost all day…and I make sure that I can make others laugh too. I stick my head out car windows on road trips…a tip I learned from a dog…you know why they do that? Because of the different smells from outside..it’s new and exciting to them, I can learn a lot from my dog…except the whole sniffing butt thing…umm no thank you. I walk barefoot in the grass, I randomly do cartwheels when I feel like it too. I don’t care what others think, therefore I don’t get easily embarrassed. Basically, my point is…. when you live your life according to you…how you want to be, who you want to be, where you want to go….. then ultimately you are free. Therefore, you have no choice to be healthy…in every way. Life is going to always throw you curves… it’s just matter of putting on the glove and throwing it back. So go be healthy…go be brave and bold…Live it…and be FREE!

I am so thrilled about this! A week long Brave and Bold Creativity Women’s Retreat! I get to welcome you all to my home state and hometown where you can see the Ozark Mountains of Eureka Springs Arkansas in all it’s glory! We will be painting in the Conservatory of the beautiful Crescent Hotel(click here to see) ! Also with day trips to Crystal Bridges(click here), Trolley tour of Eureka, Underground tour of Eureka (click here),  dinner and artist reception with live music, prizes and goodies! Live performance painting by , yours truly…me, a meet and greet with chocolates and wine upon your arrival, and free time to shop, play, explore, dance and all of those goodies!!!

Did I mention all painting supplies are included? All you have to do is show up with your suitcase and WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A BLAST!!!!! BRAVE AND BOLD! LIVE IT!

This is a pic of the side view of the Crescent Hotel where the women’s retreat will be held. If you look to the lower half you will see a white part of the building with all the windows, that’s the Conservatory, where we will be painting! The garden area and Gazebo, will be places we may paint outdoors if weather permits!
